A look at two primary schools who formed a soft federation, and how the new leadership structure helped to turn around their prospects.
Since 2007, Monteney and Foxhill primary schools in Sheffield have been working together as a "learning partnership", under Nicola Shipman as executive headteacher.
The schools are currently part of a soft federation with separate governing bodies, but are consulting on becoming a hard federation with one governing body and merged leadership teams.
