Gordano School in Somerset demonstrates the thinking tools it has used to underpin the new skills-based secondary curriculum.
Called "Gordano Learning Language", the tools support a set of core principles. The school shows how they are taught explicitly to Year 7 and 8 students during regular Wednesday afternoon sessions.
Later, we see how teachers want the learning language to permeate every lesson, and the trialling of different measures to evaluate the impact of embedding their new curriculum into everyday learning.
This is part of a series exploring the impact and changes that the new secondary curriculum will bring to schools around the country.
