Bridgid Nzekwu and DfES procurement expert Claire Dicks visit Coleraine Park Primary School in north London to see if they can identify ways in which the school can save money.
Claire and Bridgid find that the headteacher and business manager are already keeping such a tight rein on the school's budget that they even have the printer paper under lock and key. There is now very little slack in the budget and still there are dream projects waiting to be realised.
It's difficult to see where savings can be found until Claire and Bridgid ask questions about the contract for some essential office equipment. What they discover comes as a big surprise to both the headteacher and the business manager.
