This programme highlights the work of Tottenhall Infant School in Enfield; a school that recognises the importance of physical education in child development.
The school has developed a number of strategies to give children a head start at Key Stage 1, in particular placing an emphasis on making a smooth transition in movement practice from Reception to Year 1.
Covering the national curriculum basics for Key Stage 1 physical education, the programme also shows how the school uses so-called Tiger Teams to help children with motor co-ordination problems.
