Problem-Solving - Number Problems

February 10, 2014 by Administrator

A CPD resource for Key Stage 2 maths, as a lesson delivered by expert Isaac Anoom is observed and then reviewed.

Isaac teaches a Year 4 lesson on problem-solving at Mount Pleasant Nursery and JMI School, St. Albans.

Isaac's lesson, observed by a group of maths experts, including Fran Bradshaw, the Local Authority Maths Advisor for Hertfordshire, is then discussed, along with some of the difficulties that teachers face when problem-solving with numbers.

Isaac, also known as Mr. Numbervator, is a qualified OFSTED commended class teacher in Key Stages 1, 2 and 3, and is primary maths advisor for Guernsey.

This video is part of the Key Stage 2 Maths Lesson Planning Pack on problem-solving, which includes two lesson starters, one great lesson idea and a CPD discussion.
