A primary school shares how it has saved money by going green, using environmental projects to cut the cost of its energy bills, in this school finance resource.
Green initiatives at Woodheys Primary School include installing twelve solar panels, pupil energy monitors and a wild garden area.
Headteacher Laura Daniels and sustainability officer Freda Eyden describe how the green initiatives started over a decade ago, gaining the school Green Flag status and helping it save thousands of pounds on energy bills.
The whole school community is now involved in the environmental ethos, which has also won the school awards and brought international acclaim.
