Secondary Singing with Howard Goodall - Gospel Singing

February 7, 2014 by Administrator

Presenter and composer Howard Goodall finds out about gospel singing in secondary schools. Ideal for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 teaching.

Gospel singing can be a popular choice of repertoire, even in non religious schools because the songs themselves are often high energy and very lively with a strong beat.

A Year 7 class at St Bonaventure's Catholic School and the G Force Community choir from Formby High School, a choir that is also open to the local community, both enjoy singing gospel songs because of their simple power.

Steve Cook from Formby High School, Caroline Gale from Guildford County School and Nick Bowers Broadbent from St Bonaventures Boys in Newham, feature as the experienced practitioners in this video.
