Two primary schools find novel ways of introducing Shakespeare to pupils of different ages and literacy ability.
The pupils respond well to the powerful stories and rich language of Shakespeare.
Jo Fife, drama teacher at Wimbledon Park Primary School, works with two Year 6 classes on Hamlet, learning the meaning of the soliloquy "To be, or not to be".
Later they write a speech by the character Ophelia in their own words.
Annabel Gray, at Queen's Park School, inspires her Year 3 pupils to perform scenes from King Lear at the local secondary school.
The pupils enjoy acting out Lear's madness scene in the storm, and creating sound effects to accompany it.
