Said Benchama teaches a Year 8 Arabic lesson to a class from diverse backgrounds, with students from Britain, Somalia, India, Albania and the Philippines.
Said demonstrates strategies for teaching classes where the students' English language skills range from good to poor. He also offers helpful advice to other teachers in similar circumstances.
Said also shows how a group of Somali students, who speak almost no English, are helped during the lesson by a support teacher, making sure all the pupils have an opportunity to learn.
