A chef encourages students to cook creative, international dishes using local produce, during a Year 10 food technology lesson.
Chef Peter Vaughan visits The George Ward school, in Wiltshire, and takes students to local shops to help them choose good quality ingredients for his two recipes, South American vegetable Pulao and Caribbean coleslaw.
Back at school, the pupils come up with their own versions of the dishes and think about effective presentation ideas, working with both Peter and head of food technology Jane Chaffey.
The experience gives them the opportunity to try new ingredients, and cook with a professional chef, and share their recipes with other students and staff.
