Teacher-turned-comedian Natalie Haynes travels the country to try and prove that pupils and staff would benefit if schools were given an injection of humour.
Natalie aims to discover the scientific and pedagogical truth behind her supposition and she enlists the help of fellow comedians along the way.
Tim Vine show how teachers can get pupils to write more concisely, using his knowledge of quick-fire one-liners, and Natalie finds out how the students at Alsop High School, Liverpool, reactd when the Liverpool Comedy Trust took over their geography lesson.
She also speaks to children's comedian James Campbell, fellow teacher-turned-comic Shazia Mirza, and presenter and comedian Nicholas Parsons in her quest for an answer.
