February 3, 2014 by Administrator

A school previously in special measures shows how it became one of the most improved schools in the country, receiving an outstanding rating in its most recent Ofsted inspection.

Hurlingham and Chelsea School in Fulham, West London was turned around in just four years. After being placed in special measures with its governing body failing, it became the second most improved school in the country.

At the most recent one-day Ofsted inspection focusing on the Every Child Matters agenda it was described as outstanding by inspectors.

The school looks back at the actions taken to put it back on track, not just in terms of teaching and learning but also the effectiveness of its governing body.
