HLTA Joanne Abbott runs an after school museum club at the Horniman Museum in Lewisham, south east London. where local pupils can benefit from a number of weekly activities .
Each week pupils from Horniman Primary School spend an hour and a half visiting exhibitions, meeting experts and doing some unusual activities run by HLTA Joanne Abbott.
The club takes advantage of all the facilities on offer at the museum through a range of activities such as coming up with fishy quiz questions in the aquarium, meeting the curator in the natural history department, and finding out all about the busy bees from their keeper.
The activities that they will be doing are decided at regular meetings between Joanne and the museum's education department.
