Henry Frankel, a third-year trainee teacher at Edge Hill University in Lancashire meets his tutor Shirley Gaskell and Barbara Taylor, headteacher at Burscough Methodist Primary School, to plan how to deliver Spanish through PE.
Students at Edge Hill are encouraged to include cross-curricular planning in their professional values and practice module.
Henry is given the opportunity to put cross-curricular planning into practice whilst on a placement at Burscough. He wants to use the Spanish he picked up during his gap year as the cross-curricular element of a Year 5 PE lesson.
This programme follows Henry's introductory Spanish lesson and final PE lesson, and reveals his reflections on how it went.
