Panto

January 21, 2014 by Administrator

Children's Laureate Michael Rosen reports from the theatre and gives an introduction to the great Christmas tradition of pantomime.

Whilst visiting a production of The Pied Piper of Hamlyn, he interviews the writer of the show to find out what makes the perfect panto. He also takes us backstage and shows us scenes from the pantomime itself!

Michael describes how panto can bring together performance elements such as music, dance and design and develops skills such as speaking and listening. It's for this reason that he gives his top tips for students who might be thinking of putting on their own Christmas pantomime.

Watch in the classroom to help get everyone into the Christmas spirit.
