Dr Maggie Smith, lecturer in education for the Open University and ghair of the Geographical Association's Environmental and Sustainable Development Education Working Group recommends:
- Environment centres - a way for children to learn about ecology in a natural environment
- The Poverty Challenge - a simulation game to teach sustainable development
- bRing bRing - a scheme that provides lesson ideas and support for recycling mobile phones
