In this episode we highlight three resources designed to aid the teaching of Shakespeare to primary pupils.
Dr. Vivienne Griffiths, head of the school of education at the University of Sussex, recommends:
- An Introduction to Shakespeare and his World - a tour of the Globe theatre, including the Lively Action Workshop.
- Language of Shakespeare - a book to help pupils better understand Shakespeare
- Sheffield Theatres' Macbeth Teaching Resources - a website of Macbeth orientated resources
Matthew Tosh takes a look at a couple of the resources in action, while Vivienne joins presenter Hermione Cockburn in the studio, along with panellists Glynis Wiles, Year 6 AST from Oxley Park Primary School in Milton Keynes, and Colin Hynson, freelance education consultant and writer.
