Two consortia in Birmingham, who are preparing to pilot the new secondary diplomas, work to ensure that Personal Learning and Thinking Skills become integrated into the curriculum.
The Creative & Media Diploma consortium are preparing their Year 9 students, a year in advance of the diploma, by implementing aspects of the PLTS into their current lessons.
Meanwhile, the Engineering consortium is at the stage of designing the course modules and want to make certain that each one has aspects of the PLTS.
This programme is part of a series which looks at the difficult task of piloting and introducing two new diploma schemes into the curriculum for secondary school pupils.
