Unqualified Success?

January 21, 2014 by Administrator

The state sector should consider allowing people without teaching qualifications to take up headships, says a recent report for the DCSF. The proposal is investigated in this video for primary and secondary headteachers.

The video examines whether appointing chief executives with no teaching background to improve failing schools is a good idea.

The move would address a lack of applicants for headteacher posts and a perceived lack of management experience in schools, says the report published by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
