Two Manchester schools have introduced some new revision ideas with the aim of boosting GCSE results.
At St Peter's RC High School, the maths department decides to hold drop-in sessions while asking parents to help out with revision at home.
The English department at Cedar Mount High School take 80 pupils out of the school and go to a local college for three days of intensive revision.
Both initiatives are assessed with the help of innovation and education expert Paul Sternberg, who gives his honest, but not totally flattering opinions.
