Jude Kelly talks to Estelle Morris about the importance of creativity and the community in her own childhood.
Jude reveals how her passion for creativity stems from the belief that without creativity in school, her adolescent pessimism could have proved very harmful.
She felt that maths and science were not taught in an accessible way for her and, as a result, now advocates cross-curricular teaching methods to benefit pupils.
Jude now hopes to further improve creativity in her new roles as director for the South Bank Centre and chair of the Olympic Culture and Education Committee.
