Science

January 9, 2014 by Administrator

An uninterrupted practical GCSE science lesson for Year 9 pupils is put on display in this programme.

The class at Haydon School in Hillingdon are investigating fat and salt in food. The lesson is recorded in full, creating a resource which is usually technically difficult for schools to capture themselves.

The teacher introduces the video, explains the objectives for the lesson, and sets it in context - whether introducing a topic, building on previous work, or revision. The picture is split between views from two cameras, one following the teacher and the other showing the whole room.

After the lesson, the teacher gives an immediate reaction to how things went, the extent to which the initial objectives were met, and where they will go next with the topic.
