Secondary Special Needs - Working with Pupils with Down's Syndrome

January 9, 2014 by Administrator

At Plashet School in east London, every effort is made to include Amina, a 14-year-old pupil with Down's syndrome, into appropriate mainstream classes.

Find out how Amina is able to be included in a variety of typical school classes, with the school also responding to her individual needs with targeted one-to-one sessions.

This programme features a practical science lesson, focussed maths and reading support, plus a "lifeskills" lesson that prepares the Year 10 pupils for work experience attachments.
