Catering manager Heather Ashford has nearly completed her GNVQ Level 2 in practical cookery and is putting on a special lunch to let parents know what their children are eating at school.
Heather works at Primrose Hill Community School in a deprived area of Birmingham, and believes healthy school meals make a real difference to the children of the area.
Watch Heather perfecting new recipes with course tutor Marilyn Rawlins, before serving it up to the parents in the hope it will encourage them to support her in feeding the children healthy, home-cooked food.
