As acting vice principal at Estover Community College in Plymouth, Sammy Crook is interested in becoming a headteacher in the future.
She undertakes an internship programme at King Edward VI Community College in Devon, as part of a pilot scheme by the National College for School Leadership.
Sammy shadows different members of the senior leadership team, covering every aspect from financial management to curriculum development. At the end of her internship, she reflects on the placement and considers what it takes to be a headteacher.
