The King David Junior and Infant School is the only Jewish school in the West Midlands. Only 35 per cent of the pupils are Jewish, half are Muslim, and the remainder are a mix of Sikhs, Hindus and Christians.
As a result of learning Hebrew as an MFL in support of their Judaism studies, each of the children benefit from important religious lessons that can be adapted and made relevant to their own beliefs.
Every Friday afternoon, everyone comes together for collective worship at the Kiddush assembly where the whole school prays, sings and breaks bread together in recognition and celebration of the Sabbath.
