KS1/2 English - Training Teachers for Reading Recovery

In this programme, we explore the training process behind the Reading Recovery programme.

Teacher-leader Dianna Craker guides a group of experienced primary teachers through the programme, which is designed as an intervention for children falling behind in literacy at Year 1.

The training method is unusual but effective - trainees learn by observing each other through a one-way mirror, thereby learning through analysis of real practice, as well as theory.
