This programme follows a mixed-age group of pupils as they spend a week rock-climbing, raft-building, pot-holing and more at the Ullswater Outward Bound Centre in the Lake District.
The Outward Bound Trust aims to challenge young people by taking them outside of their comfort zone. The intention is not necessarily to make them proficient at outdoor activities, but to use those activities as a learning experience.
Over the course of the week the students, from Rhodesway School in inner-city Bradford, learn a great deal about themselves and are encouraged to take responsibility for their own actions and work together as an effective team.
