Judy Sayers, senior lecturer in mathematics education at the University of Northhampton, recommends some great resources for teaching primary maths.
Judy's experience with the following key resources is discussed:
- NRICH - a free website with mathematical games and solutions
- Mathematical Activities Handbook and MATS Small Pack - shapes and tiles designed to make bigger shapes and for pupils to see patterns
- Maths Trails: Generalising - a problem solving book and CD-ROM
Judy joins presenter Hermione Cockburn in the studio, along with panellists Isaac Anoom, a primary maths advisor, and Fran Bradshaw, a primary advisor for mathematics for the Hertfordshire Development Centre.
