Primary Maths 2

December 17, 2013 by Administrator

Judy Sayers, senior lecturer in mathematics education at the University of Northhampton, recommends some great resources for teaching primary maths.

Judy's experience with the following key resources is discussed:

  • NRICH - a free website with mathematical games and solutions
  • Mathematical Activities Handbook and MATS Small Pack - shapes and tiles designed to make bigger shapes and for pupils to see patterns
  • Maths Trails: Generalising - a problem solving book and CD-ROM

Judy joins presenter Hermione Cockburn in the studio, along with panellists Isaac Anoom, a primary maths advisor, and Fran Bradshaw, a primary advisor for mathematics for the Hertfordshire Development Centre.
