KS3/4 Business Studies - A Survey of Practice

December 11, 2013 by Administrator

As part of the applied business studies course at Swanlea School in east London, students are encouraged to establish and run their own mini-enterprise companies.

These companies are run like professional businesses, but the students require help to run them. Teachers across the curriculum, from those teaching woodwork to experienced business staff, encourage pupils to appreciate what it takes to run a business.

But in a busy secondary school, the staff can't manage all this on their own. They enlist the help of other companies and individuals to help bring the pupils' work to fruition.

This programme follows two of the companies in action at Swanlea School, showing how you can inspire your pupils to become entrepreneurs.
